Obituary

Worcester: Frederick Alan O'Neall, 92, passed away on Sunday, March 13, 2016 in St. Vincent's Hospital surrounded by his loving family. He leaves five children - Ellen O'Neall-Waite, Nancy Gott, Kevin O'Neall, Hugh O'Neall, and Elizabeth O'Neall-Hennessey; their spouses - Robert Gott, Carolyn O'Neall, Beth O'Neall, and Bill Hennessey; 5 grandchildren - Holly O'Neall-Waite and her husband Hamish Ewart-Smith, Katie & Kelley O'Neall, and Siobhan & Ailin O'Neall; and 1 great grandchild - Bannock Ewart-O'Neall Smith. He was predeceased by his wife of 57 years, Mary Jane (Detrich) O'Neall.



Alan was born in Oakland, CA, son of the late Rev. Dr. Kelly and Frieda Mae (Schwartz) O'Neall. He graduated from the University of Colorado with a Bachelors' of Science Degree in Chemical Engineering. He worked as a project manager in design, construction and production in various chemical plants throughout the world. He was a member of First Unitarian Church of Worcester.



Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, March 15, 2016 from 6-9 p.m. in Nordgren Funeral Home, 300 Lincoln St., Worcester. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, March 16, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in First Unitarian Church, 90 Main St., Worcester. In lieu of flowers, donations in Alan's memory may be made to Friends of the Worcester Public Library.
