Obituary

Worcester—Frances M. (Wilder) Currie, 82, died Thursday, March 31, 2005, at UMass Memorial Medical Center. She leaves her husband of 56 years, Donald F. Currie; a son Richard D. Currie of Santa Monica, CA; a daughter, Pamela C. Halstead of Woodbridge, CT; a brother, Richard Wilder of Worcester; 8 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren. A daughter, Linda C. Poudrier, died in 2000.

She was born in Worcester, daughter of Clarence F. and Estella M. (Waiz) Wilder. She was a member of All Saints Episcopal Church, the Greendale YMCA, and a former American Red Cross volunteer. Mrs. Currie had a life-long love of music and was active in musical circles, including the Worcester County Light Opera Company.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, April 7, at Nordgren Memorial Chapel. A calling hour will be held at 9:30 a.m. prior to the funeral.
