Obituary

Evelyn D. (Minehan) Guinee, 92, died Sunday, March 26, 2006, at UMass Memorial Healthcare. Her husband of 47 years, William G. Guinee, died in 1984. She leaves 2 sons, Burton G. Guinee of Maine and Stephen A. Guinee and his wife Karen of Rochdale; a daughter Susan A. Shahbazi of Worcester; 9 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother and a sister. She was born in Worcester, daughter of Chester and Anna (Becker) Minehan and was a graduate of Commerce High School. She worked as a head bookkeeper for many years at the former Denholm & McKay Dept. Store and loved vacationing in York, Maine. Evelyn was a loving mother and grandmother, and her charming smile was loved by all.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, at 11 a.m. in Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln St. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park. A calling hour will be held at 10 a.m. prior to the funeral. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Elder Services of Worcester Area Inc, 411 Chandler St., Worcester MA 01602.
