Obituary

Evelyn J. Benson, 94, formerly of Wedgewood Road and Paxton passed away on March 25, 2006 at the Hermitage Nursing Home. Evelyn was born in Worcester, daughter of Gustaf H. and C. Eleanor (Borgeson) Benson and graduated from Commerce High School and Fairchild Business School. She worked as an executive secretary for Parker Manufacturing Company for over 30 years. She was a charter member of Trinity Lutheran Church and its Anna Circle. She was also past president and member of the The Scandinavian Women's Club and The Worcester Business and Professional Women's Club. She was a volunteer at Hahnemann Hospital for many years. She leaves two cousins, Betty (Borgeson) Lotz of Connecticut and Janet (Benson) Anderson of Washington.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, March 30 in Trinity Lutheran Church, 73 Lancaster Street. Burial will be private in All Faiths Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Trinity Lutheran Church Memorial Fund. Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln St. is directing arrangements.
