Obituary

Shrewsbury—Ethel M. (Anderson) Turner, 96, formerly of Shrewsbury, died Monday, January 4, 2010, at Saint Vincent Hospital. Her husband, Charles D. Turner, Sr., passed away in 1977. She leaves two sons, Charles D. Turner, Jr., and his wife Nancy of Brookfield and James R. Turner and his wife Gloria of Shrewsbury; one daughter, Susan E. Robecki and her husband John of Bennington, VT; eight grandchildren; many great-grandchildren and great, great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. A daughter, Charlotte L. Gingerelli, predeceased her. She was born in Worcester, daughter of Gulbrand and Augusta (Hammerstrom) Anderson. She was co-owner of Charlie's Diner on Plantation Street in Worcester.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, Jan. 7, 2010 from 5-7 p.m. at Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln Street. After cremation, burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton at a later date. Please omit flowers; donations may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
