Obituary

Worcester: Esther "Florence" Johnson, 95, passed away on Thursday, March 4, 2021 in Knollwood Nursing Center. She leaves a daughter Paula and her husband Rico Renzoni; two grandchildren- Andrew and his wife Olga Renzoni of Worcester and Luke and his wife Jennifer Renzoni of Leicester; four great grandchildren- Sofia, John, Evangeline, and Nicoletta; and many nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by her husband of 73 years, George J. Johnson.

Florence was born in Worcester, one of 12 children born to Alfred and Esther (Peterson) Janson. She graduated from Commerce High School in the class of 1944 and worked for many years as a bond clerk at the former WCIS Bank. She was a life-long member of the Aldersgate Methodist Church and sang in its choir. She volunteered at Fairlawn Rehab and served as a concierge at Bet Shalom Apartments.
