Obituary

HOLDEN- Eric Runo Mattson, 90, of 236 Doyle Rd., died Wednesday, July 21, 2004, in the Radius Healthcare Center at Worcester.

He leaves his wife of many years, Edythe (Wivagg) Mattson, a daughter, Beverly J. Wetterman of Schertz, TX, five grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a daughter, Ruth S. Lamb and two sisters, Ellen Brod and Gladys Roth.

Eric was born in Worcester, son of Charles and Selma (Ericson) Mattson and lived in Holden for 51 years. He was a graduate of Worcester Boys Trade High School and Worcester Jr. College. He was a machinist at the Norton Co. for 38 years. He was a member of the Quinsigamond Lodge Vasa Order and a member and former president of the Norton Camera Club. His hobbies and interests were in photography and woodworking. Funeral services wereheld on Mon., July 26, in the Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln St., Worcester. Burial is in All Faiths Cemetery. Contributions, in lieu of flowers, may be made to a charity of the donors choice.
