Obituary

Worcester: Elsie L. "Ellie" (Skalin) Biscardi, 89, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly at home on Friday, July 8, 2011. She leaves a daughter Jean Enhus of FL, 2 sons Frank J. Biscardi Jr. of Gloucester, and Nicholas W. and his wife Nancy Biscardi of Holden; 5 grandchildren- Debra, Donna, Steven, Dominic, and Nicholas; and 5 great-grandchildren. Elsie was pre deceased by 2 brothers William and Leon Skalin and one sister Britta.

Elsie was born in Sweden, daughter of Karl and Brita (Viklund) Skalin. She graduated from High School and worked for many years as a nurses aide at Worcester State Hospital. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Worcester, enjoyed spending time with her family- especially wintering with her daughter in Florida, and was an avid Red Sox fan. She was the center of the family whose love, kindness, and generous nature held the family together. She enjoyed traveling, cookouts, and loved to dance. She will be truly missed by all her family.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday July 12, 2011 from 9:30-11:30 a.m. in Nordgren Memorial Chapel 300 Lincoln St. Worcester. A funeral service will follow at 11:30 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be at a later date. Flowers may be sent or donations may be made in Elsie's memory to the charity of the donor's choice.
