Obituary

Shrewsbury—Elizabeth Brandt Atkinson, 90, died Wednesday, July 4, 2007. She leaves her husband of 71 years, Dr. David K. Atkinson; two daughters, Maryann and her husband William Abodeely of Shrewsbury and Janet Candela of N.C.; a sister, Lillian Daniels and her husband Arnold of PA; five grandchildren; and 1 great grandchild. She was born in Perrysville, PA, daughter of Herman P. and Allie (Heid) Brandt. She was a member of Hiland Presbyterian Church and the Highland Country Club. She helped establish the library in Perrysville. Funeral services will be held in Pennsylvania. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made locally to St. George Orthodox Cathedral, 30 Anna Street, Worcester MA 01604 or to First Congregational Church of Shrewsbury, 19 Church Street, Shrewsbury, MA 01545. In Pennsylvania, donations can be made to Hiland Presbyterian Church, 745 Perry Highway, Pittsburgh, PA 15229. Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln Street, Worcester is directing arrangements.
