Obituary

Worcester - Elin Freeman, 102, of the Lutheran Home, passed away Thursday, October 2, 2014. Elin is survived by cousins Elaine Marley and Dennis Hammarsten and their families, as well as dear friends, Marcy and Matthew Ostrow and their children, Rachel, Emma, Sam, Naomi, and Madeline. She was predeceased by sisters, Elsie and Helga.



Elin was born in Worcester, daughter of Ida Maria (Anderson) and Henry Fridman. Elin was a housekeeper at the Belmont Home and Worcester City Hospital. She was a charter member of Trinity Lutheran Church. Special thanks to Margaret, Grace and others from Carol Seager Assoc, and all the folks at the Lutheran Home who cared for Elin with kindness and compassion. Elin will be greatly missed.



There will be a graveside service on Monday, October 6, at 2:00 pm at All Faiths Cemetery, 7 Island Road, Worcester. There are no calling hours. Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln Street is directing arrangements. Donations in Elin's memory may be made in lieu of flowers to Trinity Lutheran Church, 73 Lancaster St., Worcester MA 01609.
