Obituary

Worcester, Eleanor A. (Johnson) Erickson, 87 died Thursday, November 15, 2007 at U.Mass Memorial-University Campus. Her husband of 56 years, Wendell C. Erickson Sr. died in 1997. She leaves 2 sons, Dr. Jeffery and his wife Ann Erickson of Woodstock, Ct., Dr. Peter and his wife Kathy Erickson of New Hampshire, and one daughter, Nancy Galvin of New York. She also leaves 2 brothers, Ernest Johnson of Auburn and Raymond Johnson of FL, 8 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son Wendell C. Erickson, Jr., a son-in-law Larry Galvin, 2 brothers Clifford and Arnold Johnson and 2 sisters Violet Lemay and Doris Rich.

She was born in Worcester, daughter of Alfred and Alice (Gullberg) Johnson. Eleanor was an activities director for numerous nursing homes. She was a member of Greendale People's Church. She enjoyed sewing and knitting. Eleanor was a very patriotic person. She was a very kind and loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend to many.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 19, 2007 at 10:00 am in the Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln St. Worcester. Burial will be in Hope Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Sunday, November 18, 2007 from 2-5 pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Rev.
