Obituary

Eleanor G. (Hedenburg) Christie, 80, of 572 Burncoat St., a long-time Shrewsbury resident, died Friday, June 10, 2005, at St. Vincent Hospital. She leaves 2 sons and daughters-in-law, Donald and Cheryl Christie of Holden and David and Joanne Christie of Sutton; a brother, Kenneth Hedenburg of Holden; 4 grandchildren, Jennifer, Melissa, Steven, and Bryan; and 3 nieces. She was born and raised in Worcester, daughter of Harry and Gertrude (Young) Hedenburg. She lived in Shrewsbury for more than 40 years and was a member of First Congregational Church. Eleanor enjoyed painting, drawing, and spending time at the beach in Maine.

A private graveside service will be held June 15, at Hope Cemetery. Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln St., is directing arrangements.
