Obituary

Worcester—Eleanor A. (Carlson) Peterson, 97, of 5 Suburban Rd., died Tuesday, September 6, 2005, at the Hospice on Coes Pond, 10 Judith Road. Her husband, Sigurd A. Peterson, died in 1964. Her brother, Carl L. Carlson, died in 1982. She leaves a niece, Dagny Carlsen of Oxford; a nephew, Robert Holm of Worcester, and several cousins. She was born in Springfield, daughter of Anna (Anderson) and Carl E. Carlson. She lived in Worcester for most of her lifetime. She attended Commerce High School. Eleanor worked for Norton Company for 27 years, retiring in 1968 as a quality control inspector. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.

A private graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, Sept. 9, at Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. There will be no calling hours. Memorial contributions can be made to VNA Care Network, Inc., 120 Thomas St. Worcester MA 01608. Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln St is directing arrangements.
