Obituary

Worcester—Elaine J. Skalin, 45, died on Friday, January 18, 2008, at UMass Memorial Hospital. She leaves her mother, Doris I. Skalin, her long-time companion, John A. Blundell; three sisters, Linda J. Shubert, Carol I. Stearns, Janet Skalin; and one brother Paul W. Skalin. Elaine leaves her beloved nieces, nephews, children and grandchildren of John and family. She was pre-deceased by her father, William S. Skalin and a brother, Raymond C. Skalin.

Elaine was born in Worcester and was a graduate of Burncoat High School and Quinsigamond Community College. She worked for several years at Wyman Gordon as a Master Scheduler. She was a loving person and caring homemaker who spent her life caring for her family and others.

A Memorial Service will be held at Greendale People's Church, 25 Francis Street on Wednesday, January 23, at 11:00 a.m. Burial of ashes will be in St. John's Cemetery at a later date.
