Obituary

Worcester—Elaine D. (Holt) Wood, 78, died Tuesday, June 3, 2008, in Holy Trinity Nursing Home. She was the widow of David E. Wood who died in 2001. She leaves a son, Dean R. Wood and his wife April L. of Worcester and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by 2 brothers and 1 sister. Elaine was born in Worcester, daughter of Minnie F. (Williamson) and Robert J. Holt. She was a member of Park Congregational Church for 60 years, serving on many committees and boards. She worked for 27 years for Chartwell Company at WPI. She loved to travel with her husband, enjoying camping, windjammer cruises, and skiing vacations. She loved her beagles.

Calling hours will be held Friday 6-8 p.m. at Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln Street. A memorial service will be held Monday, June 9th, at 11:00 a.m. in Park Congregational Church, 80 Russell Street. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Holy Trinity Nursing Home, 300 Barber Avenue, Worcester MA 01606.
