Obituary

West Boylston—Elaine E. (Emerson) Johnson, 84, died on Wednesday, January 25, 2006, at the Jewish Healthcare Center. Her husband, Harold R. Johnson, died in 1998. She was born in Billerica, daughter of George H. and Sadie (Bostwick) Emerson. She was an alumnus of Fitchburg State College, B.S.E., Class of 1943 and Worcester State College, M. Ed., 1964. Mrs. Johnson was an elementary teacher for 11 years in Billerica and a history teacher for 28 years at Holden Jr. High. She was a past president (1988-89) of the West Boylston Woman's Club.

She is survived by 2 daughters, Sally A. Sullivan and her husband, Michael S. of Worcester, and Kyle E. Charbonneau and her husband, Al of West Boylston; 2 grandsons, Michael S. and Shawn H. Sullivan; 3 granddaughters, Mallory, Mikaela, and Charlotte Sullivan; and a step-grandson, Peter Charbonneau. A brother, Russell G. Emerson, predeceased her.

Funeral services will be held at Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln Street, Worcester on Saturday, Jan. 28, 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton.
