Obituary

Einar A. Carlson, 88, formerly of Orlando Dr. died Saturday, September 25, 2004 in Shrewsbury Nursing Home.His wife of 51 years, Alice M. Carlson died in 2003. He leaves a sister, Edith Carlson and her husband Carl of Holden, a sister-in-law, Doris Carlson, a cousin, Axel Carlson, and several nephews and nieces.

Einar was born in Goteborg, Sweden, son of Carl and Maria (Anderson) Carlson. He graduated from Commerce High School in Worcester. He worked as a machinist for Norton Company for 37 years, retiring in 1978.Einar was a member of Zion Lutheran Church and a former Trustee. He was also a former member of First Lutheran Church, The Boylston Lodge A.F. & A.M., The Norton Retiree's Club, and The Greendale Men's Club. He enjoyed golfing and traveling.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 28th in Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton. A memorial service will be held at a later date. There are no calling hours. In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Zion Lutheran Church, 41 Whitmarsh Ave., Worcester, MA 01606.
