Obituary

Sterling - Edwin Gilbert D. Hendrickson, 78, passed away Friday, April 13, 2012, at the Lutheran Home. His wife of 50 years, Ann L. (Lavallee) died in 2008. He leaves a son and daughter-in-law, Leif E. and Jennifer Hendrickson; a daughter and son-in-law, Beth Ann and James Ostrander; a brother, Robert Hendrickson; 7 grandchildren; and 1 great-grandchild. He was predeceased by 3 sons, Edwin D., Irving, A., and Vance W. Hendrickson; a brother, Norman I. Hendrickson; and a sister, Helena M. Pariseau.

Edwin was born in Worcester, son of Winifred S. (Harmon) and John Henry Irving Hendrickson. He was a graduate of North High and served in the Army during the Korean War. Ed was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Worcester and Matthew John Whittall Lodge A.F. & A.M. He enjoyed archery, model airplane building, and repairing automobiles. He traveled extensively, both in the U.S. and abroad.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, April 17, in the Christ Chapel of Trinity Lutheran Church, 73 Lancaster St., Worcester. Burial will be in Howard Cemetery, Sutton.

Calling hours will be held at Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln Street, Worcester on Monday, April 16, between 5 and 7 pm.
