Obituary

Spencer: Edwin E. Bloom, 99, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, December 30, 2018. He leaves a son Stephen C. Bloom. He was predeceased by his wife of 56 years Nancy (Campbell) Bloom and his sister Kathryn Brown.

Ed was born in Tolono, IL, son of the late Loren and Inez (Maham) Bloom. He graduated from the University of Illinois and proudly served his country in the United States Navy as a Lieutenant during WWII as part of the campaign in the South Pacific. He served as President of The Coes Knife Company in Worcester for many years, retiring in 1986. He was a member of First Congregational Church in Spencer, a member of the Mason's Quinsigamond Lodge AF & AM, a member and past president of The Worcester Country Club, past president of the Mohegan Council of Boy Scouts of America, a member of the Francis Ouimet Society, and a long time member of the Worcester Rotary Club.

A memorial service will be held on WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 23,, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. in Nordgren Funeral Home 300 Lincoln St. Worcester. There are no calling hours.
