Obituary

Worcester—Edna L. I. Engstrom, formerly of Holden Street, passed away Thursday, May 7, 2009. Her husband, Bror A. T. Engstrom, died in 1984. She leaves 2 sons, Paul E. Engstrom and his wife Rosi of Chatham, and Carl A. Engstrom of Worcester; 4 grandchildren, Paul Engstrom Jr., Christopher Engstrom, Sarah Miller, and Tamara Tyler; and 5 great-grandchildren. A sister, Alice D. Hancock preceded her in death.

She was born in Worcester, daughter of Gerda (Olson) and Martin Svenson. She was a graduate of Commerce High and The Salter School. Edna was a Charter Member of Trinity Lutheran Church where she was active in many church groups, committees, and activities.

Calling hours at Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln Street, will be on Mon., May 11, 4-6 p.m. The funeral will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church, Tues. May 12, at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Memorial donations may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church, 73 Lancaster Street, Worcester MA 01609.
