Obituary

Worcester, MA--Dorothy I. (Holmes) Slattery, 95, died Friday, September 15, 2006 in the Pine Run Health Center, Doylestown, PA. Her husband, John Henry Slattery, Jr., died in 1964. She was born in Worcester, daughter of Ernest R. and Bertha (Blackstone) Holmes. Dorothy's family owned and operated Slattery Spa on Burncoat Street and The 1941 House. She was a lifelong member of Greendale People's Church. Dorothy is survived by four grandchildren, Richard Jr., Tracie, Suzanne, and Nancy; eight great-grandchildren; and two nieces, Nancy Leto and Joyce Kay. Two sons, Richard Holmes Slattery and Ralph Slattery predeceased her.

Funeral services, under the direction of Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln Street will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 20. A memorial service will be held at 12:30 p.m. in Greendale Peoples Church, 25 Francis Street.
