Obituary

Dorothy (Rogers) Hawkesworth, 78 of Marble St. died Sunday, January 11 in UMass Memorial Hospital, University Campus.

She leaves her son, Brian J. Hawkesworth of Dennis; a sister, Edith Moberg of Shushan, NY; 2 grandchildren, Jennifer L. Hawkesworth of Paxton and Kristin Hawkesworth Summ of Stratford CT; 1 great-grandchild, John Gunther Summ Jr.; beloved partner, Paul J. Mahoney of Worcester and many nieces and nephews. A son, Steven E. Hawkesworth died in 1989. Her brother Alfred Rogers and her sister Alice Cooney predeceased her.

Ms. Hawkesworth was born in Manchester, NH, daughter of David H. and Eva J. Rogers. She lived in Worcester most of her life and attended school there. She had been a legal processor for Paul Revere Insurance Company for over 25 years. As former tenant council president at her residence, she leaves many endeared friends.

A funeral service will be held Thursday, January 15 at 11 am in Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln St. Calling Hours will be from 4-7 Wednesday, January 14 in the funeral home.
