Obituary

Worcester: Doris I. (Gullmes) Skalin, 88, passed away on Thursday, May 2, 2019 in The Worcester Medical Center. She leaves 3 daughters- Linda Shubert, Janet Skalin, and Carol Stearns; a son- Paul Skalin; her step-sister Ellie Dubie, 6 grandchildren; and 3 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband of 55 years, William Sven Skalin, her son Raymond Skalin, her daughter Elaine Skalin; and her brother Paul.
Doris was born in Worcester, daughter of the late Eric and Ida (Carlson) Gullmes. She graduated from Commerce High School and worked for many years as a Unit Secretary at Memorial Hospital. She was a member of Greendale People's Church and enjoyed cooking and times with her family.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, May 8, 2019 from 5-8pm in Nordgren Funeral Home 300 Lincoln St. Worcester, MA. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 9, 2019 at 11am at the funeral home. Burial will follow in All Faiths Cemetery.
