Obituary

Worcester, MA - Doris B. (Munyon) Livesay, 82, passed away at home on Tuesday, March 31, 2015. She leaves a daughter Barbara A. Gelinas, 2 grandsons Gene P. Gelinas, Jr., and his wife Christine of Webster and Shaun M. Gelinas, Sr., and his wife Jami of Dudley; a granddaughter, Autumn M. Bent of Worcester; several great grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild. She was predeceased by her husband Russell C. Livesay, Sr. in 2005 and her son-in-law Gene Gelinas last week.

Doris, or Grandma Dot, as she was affectionately known, was born in Milford, daughter of the late Chester and Bertha Munyon. She graduated from Hopedale High School Class of 1951and Worcester Junior College. She worked as a shipping clerk for Bay State Abrasives and York Casket Company. While her husband was alive, she was an active member of the Worcester Senior Center, enjoyed traveling, and dining out.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 7, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. in Nordgren Memorial Chapel 300 Lincoln St. Worcester, MA 01605. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton.
