Dorisann (Mullaney) Marengo, 89 yo, joined Alfred H. Marengo Jr. her husband of 59 years, when she died peacefully on Tuesday, April 2, 2024. Born in Worcester on October 24, 1934, she grew up in Paxton where she lived most of her life. Doris, or Dossie as she was affectionately called, was the daughter of Augustus P. and Doris (Green) Mullaney. Dossie was a bank teller for many years but was first a homemaker and a mom. She was proud of her grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with them. Her hobbies included reading, crocheting and following the Red Sox. She will be missed by her children Barbara and Edward Farrington, Suzanne Marengo, James and Gail Marengo, Heidi and Mark Smollin, Lauren and John Roy, Andrew and Tracy Marengo, and Melissa and Ron D'Andrea; her 13 grandchildren Shauna, Amanda, Jeffrey, Kristina, Jessica, Edward, Teagan, Julia, Michael, Adam, Noah, Jacob, and Jaden; as well as her 8 great-grandchildren Hayleigh, Anya, Kassidie, Nathan, Ruby, Harrison, Adderley and Calvin.
She is survived by her younger brother, Gerald A. Mullaney. She was predeceased by her parents and her brothers Paul, Richard and Harold Mullaney, her sisters Clare Mullaney and Patricia Ranta, and her granddaughter Maxine MacEachern.
Calling hours will be Friday, April 12th from 6-8pm at Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln Street, Worcester, Ma. A memorial service will be held at Nordgren, Saturday, April 13th at 9 am, followed by a graveside service at Mooreland Cemetery, 261 Richards Ave, Paxton, Ma.
