Obituary

Worcester—Demitra Alexander, 84, died Wednesday, April 13, 2005, at Saint Vincent Hospital. Her husband, George Alexander, died in 2000. She leaves 1 son, John Alexander of South Carolina, 3 daughters, Susan Hatjopoulos of Uxbridge, Maria Gilangis of North Carolina, and Helen Pritsuolis of Worcester, 7 grandchildren, and 8 great-grandchildren.

She was born in Karahale, Turkey, daughter of Argirios and Maria (Danagiotidis) Bazza. She was a member of St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox Cathedral.

The funeral service will be held Saturday, April 16, from Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln St with a funeral service at 10:00 a.m. at St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox Cathedral. Burial will be in Hope Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Friday, April 15, from 4:30-7:30 p.m. at Nordgren Memorial Chapel. A Trisagion Service will be held during the calling hours. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 102 Russell St., Worcester MA.
