Obituary

Worcester- Delores W. (Watkins) Asamoah, 80, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 21, 2025 in St. Vincent Hospital surrounded by family following a brief illness. She is survived by her two daughters Stacey McGrath of Worcester, MA and Sharon Drake of Rutland MA. She is also survived by four grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by 6 siblings.
Delores was born in Dundalk Maryland, daughter of the late Thomas Huges Watkins and Addie and William Harris, her beloved stepfather. She attended and graduated from Union High School in Boston. In addition to raising two daughters, Delores worked as a nurse's aide at the Hermitage Nursing Home for many years prior to retiring in 2009. In retirement, Delores was an avid reader and enjoyed crocheting and cooking. She also enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren.
A calling hour will be held Friday, August 29, 2025 from 10 AM - 11 AM at Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln St. Worcester, MA 01605. A funeral will follow at 11 AM in the funeral home. Burial will follow at Hope Cemetery.
