Obituary

Worcester - Delma May Geddis, 76, passed on July 26, 2016 suddenly from cancer and other complications. She was born in Redfield, NY on August 17, 1939 to her proud parents, Mabel (Loomis) and William Fox. She lived in Rome, New York and graduated from Rome Free Academy and moved to Worcester in 1964. Surviving Delma is her husband, Herbert Geddis, of Worcester; three sons - Charles Hayes of Spencer, Jon Geddis of Gardner, and Edward Geddis of Worcester; her brother, Larry Fox of Gatlinburg, TN; three sisters - Carol Steward of Memphis, TN; Sue Barrett of Pigeon Forge, TN; and Zada Bauer of Wampsville, NY.

Mrs. Geddis was a member of Park Congregational Church in Worcester. She enjoyed crafts and animals, and she volunteered as a driver for the Meals-on-Wheels Program. Delma's wishes were to have no viewing or funeral because she felt that she would rather people celebrate her life than mourn her passing. A graveside service will be held at Pine Grove Cemetery in Spencer at 2:30 pm on her birthday, August 17, 2016.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
