Obituary

Worcester: David "Jack" Opoku Broni, 69, passed away peacefully on April 30, 2025 in Christopher House of Worcester. He leaves 5 children-Mabel Broni, Jimmy N. Broni, Collins Frimpong, Sonia Broni, and Ashley Broni; 8 grandchildren; siblings Grace, Francis, Nanaamma, and Moses Frimpong; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by a sister, Comfort Frimpong.

"Jack" was born in Kumasi, Ghana, son of the late Kofi Frimpong and Anaa Frimpong. Deeply respected by all who knew him, he worked with distinction as a loan officer. Though he never taught in a formal classroom, he was a natural educator—an avid reader and a social butterfly who left everyone around him smiling and enlightened. Throughout his life, David faced numerous health challenges with unwavering resilience. Yet his greatest joy and source of strength came from being a devoted father. He lived faithfully and passed with that same spirit of love and perseverance.

A calling hour will be held on Friday, June 6, 2025 from 9:00-10:00 am in Nordgren Memorial Chapel 300 Lincoln St. Worcester, MA 01605. A funeral service will follow at 10:00 am in the funeral home.
