Dale A. Charbonneau, 44, passed away Friday, August 20, 2010, following a year-long battle with cancer. He is survived by his mother, Phyllis N. (Newton) Fisher of NJ; his brother and sister-in-law, Roy M. and Sharon Charbonneau of Worcester; two nephews, Mark and Evan; his companion Cheryl and her children Ashley and Scottie Marrino; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. His father, Roy E. Charbonneau, predeceased him.
He was born in Fresno, CA, and resided in Worcester County since the age of 2. Dale attended Worcester schools and was a graduate of Algonquin Regional High School in Northborough and attended Quinsigamond Community College. He was the sales and parts manager for 26 years at his brother's business, Reliable Maytag Home Appliance Center. Dale was an avid sports fan and coached for the Millbury/Sutton Pop Warner Football League and the "Y Winners" Youth Basketball team at the Central Branch YMCA. He was currently active with the Lou Gehrig Little League. He enjoyed hiking in the Douglas State Forest, fresh-water fishing, golfing, and being at the ocean.
Calling hours will be held on Monday, August 23, from 4-7 p.m. at Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln Street, Worcester. The funeral will be held on Tuesday, August 24, from Nordgren Memorial Chapel with a 10:00 a.m. Mass at Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 600 Cambridge Street, Worcester. Burial will follow in Mountain View Cemetery, Shrewsbury.
Flowers may be sent or donations in memory of Dale may be made to the Rose Monahan Hospice Home, 10 Judith Road, Worcester MA 01602.
