Cynthia “Anne” Zablonski passed away at UMass University Campus in Worcester, MA on Sunday October 4th, 2026 following a sudden illness.

She leaves behind her daughter Leigh Westling and her husband Charles Westling, three granddaughters Jill Zablonski, Taylor Quinn, Tegan Twombley, and three grandsons Matthew Shircliff, Charles Westling III, Jason Westing, and three great-children Raina, Alexia and Hunter. She also leaves behind extended family and close friends. She was predeceased by her parents Kenneth and Cynthia Clark, her siblings Nancy, Kenneth Jr., Susan, Polly and Ellen Jane. Her husband of 24 years Frank A. Zablonski passed away in 1994. Her father in law Anthony Zablonski passed away in 2005 and her mother in law Sophie Zablonski passed away in 2008. Her first husband Paul Hiltunen died in 1967.

Cynthia was born in Winchendon, MA. She graduated from Murdock High School in 1955. She spent two years living in West Virginia while attending college before returning back home. Upon returning home she worked as a medical assistant at local doctor offices. She then went on to work for FG&E/ Unitil Corporation in Fitchburg, MA. She eventually retired from Verizon where she worked as a directory assistance operator based in the Gardner, MA office for over a decade. She loved her work there and made a large group of friends with the people she worked with. She was a resident of Gardner, MA for over 30 years, where she lived above her parents in law.

Cynthia enjoyed spending time visiting Rockport, MA with her family,finding a good deal at the flea markets, knitting, game shows, reading, crossworld puzzles, bird watching, and enjoying a good seafood dinner.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the nursing staff at UMass University Campus for their attentive and compassionate care of Cynthia in her final days.

The family has chosen to not have any calling hours or public funeral and will have a private service at a later date.
