Charlotte I. McGuirk, 85, passed away August 11, 2026 after a brief illness at St. Vincent’s hospital with her “nieces” Colleen and Heidi by her side .

Charlotte was an avid baker and scrabble player . More recently she had become quite the card shark playing Skipbo. She loved flowers, snacks, a good chocolate chip cookie and rearranging furniture in her apartment.

Colleen and Heidi would like to thank the rest of “Team Charlotte” for their help, love and support. The Team consisted of Angie “Twinkletoes” Desrosiers, her cousin Kathy Johnson, Tracy Tomasetta and Anne O’Brien.

After graduating from St. Peter’s High School in Worcester in 1959, Charlotte entered the Sisters of St Joseph of Springfield, MA. She received a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Our Lady of the Elms College in Chicopee, Ma. She taught at the Blessed Sacrament in Holyoke as well as St. Joseph’s School in North Brookfield.

Upon leaving the religious life, Charlotte worked a short time at Woodbury & Co. before teaching many years in the Worcester Public School system including Grafton St. School and the Francis McGrath School.
