Obituary

Charlotte L. (Hartman) Wise, 78, affectionately known as "Sis" passed away Monday, July 4, 2016, at Saint Vincent Hospital. She is survived by her husband Emmett T. Wise; two sons and daughters-in-law, Butch and Patricia Wise and Karl J. and Wendy Wise; all of Worcester; a brother Harry Hartman; 5 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren. She was born in Fairchance, Pennsylvania, daughter of Harry Albright and Ruth Hartman and was a graduate of Fairchance High School. Sis and her husband moved from Pennsylvania to Worcester where they raised their two sons. Sis worked in Kimball Dining Hall at Holy Cross College for 31 years, retiring in November of 2015. She was a member of the former Belmont Street Baptist Church, now the Journey Community Church, and enjoyed cooking for her family.

Calling hours will be held at Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln Street, Friday, July 8, from 4-7pm. The funeral service will be held at the Journey Community Church, 25 Belmont Street, Worcester, Saturday, July 9, at 10:00am. Burial will follow in the All Faiths Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made payable to Journey Community Church in support of "Children of the Nations," an orphanage in Uganda.
