Obituary

Worcester/Milford: Catherine M. (Simonson) Eckles, 63, passed away in UMASS Medical Center, University Campus on September 8, 2025. She leaves a daughter Jessica Eckles and a son Jason Eckles, a grandson Garrett, a brother Paul Simonson, 3 sisters- Carol Simonson, Nancy Vaillancourt, and Jean Bastarache, and several nieces and nephews. Her brother John Simonson predeceased her.

Catherine was born in Winthrop, daughter of William and Myrna (Eaton) Simonson, graduated from Bellingham High School and proudly served her country in the US Navy. She dedicated her life to raising her family. Catherine was an avid reader, enjoyed taking care of animals and keeping up with the British royal family. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her grandson.
