Obituary

Carolyn Cobb Quist, 90, of Shrewsbury Commons died on Saturday, December 9, 2006, at the Washburn House after a short illness. She was born on November 25, 1916 in Kingfisher, OK to Percival B. Cobb of Newton, MA and Lillian Steers of Massapequa, Long Island, NY. She married Robert E. Quist of Worcester on Sept. 8, 1951. They had no children. They were married for 44 years while residing on Uncatena Avenue. Carolyn graduated from Pilgrim State Hospital School of Nursing, Brentwood, NY in 1948. She was a Supervisor and nursing instructor at Worcester State Hospital. She found time to provide volunteer services to the Worcester Public School system. She was a long-time member of the Greendale People's Church and is survived by four brothers and one sister, all living in New York State. She will be missed by many.
