Obituary

Shrewsbury: Caroline E. (Douglas) Sherman, 75, passed away on Sunday, September 3, 2017 at home surrounded by her loving family. She leaves her children Joseph H. Sherman IV and his wife Carolyn of Shrewsbury; Scott Sherman and his wife Laurie of Sutton; and Melinda Sherman of Shrewsbury; her grandchildren Jonathan, Michaella, Christopher and Michael; her sister Joan Wood of Quincy; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband of 37 years, Joseph H. Sherman III and by her sister Marion Woodcock.

Caroline was born in Worcester, daughter of the late Clarence and Myrtle (Morse) Douglas. She graduated from Commerce High School and Becker Junior College. Caroline worked for the Shrewsbury Housing Authority for many years. She was an active member of Wesley United Methodist Church and a dedicated volunteer at Abby House and in her community.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, September 8, 2017 from 6-8 pm in Nordgren Funeral Home 300 Lincoln St. Worcester. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 9, 2017 at 10 am at Wesley United Methodist Church, Worcester. Burial will follow at Mountain View Cemetery, Shrewsbury.
