Obituary

Boylston - Carol A. (Senecal) Nicholas, 77, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 16, 2016 at home surrounded by family and friends. Her husband, Christy Nicholas died in 1996. She was born in Worcester, daughter of the late Mary (Sauer) and George P. Senecal and was a graduate of Commerce High School. Carol worked for State Mutual, was a Eucharistic minister and member of St. Mary of the Hills and its Women's Guild, volunteered for Boylston's Meals on Wheels, and belonged to the Boylston Senior Center. Carol enjoyed knitting, sewing, and crocheting.

Carol leaves her son, Christopher Nicholas and his wife Lisa (DiPilato) Nicholas of Shrewsbury; her daughter, Lisa Mahoney of Boylston; her grandson, Nicholas Mahoney; and two sisters, Lillian Milne and Rose McDonald. She was predeceased by a granddaughter, Sarah Mahoney; three brothers, George, John, and James Senecal; and one sister, Dorothy Purtle.

Calling hours will be held at Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln St., Worcester on Thursday, May 19, from 6-8pm. The funeral will be held from Nordgren Memorial Chapel on Friday, May 20, with a 10:00am Funeral Mass at St. Mary of the Hills, 630 Cross St., Boylston. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Mary of the Hills Parish or the Boylston Senior Center.
