Obituary

Carol A. (Hackett) DeSimone, 69, died Thursday, October 6, 2005, in her home. Carol leaves a son, Michael J. DeSimone and his wife Brenda, of Lithonia, GA; 3 brothers, Brian C. Hackett and his wife Naomi of Worcester, Timothy G. Hackett and his wife Kathleen of Paxton, and Patrick X. Hackett of Bay City, MI. She also leaves a sister Sharon Sierra of Worcester, 2 granddaughters, and several nieces and nephews. Carol was born in Worcester, daughter of Patrick and Ethel (Andrews) Hackett and was a graduate of Commerce High School and Worcester State College. Carol worked as a chemist at Astra Pharmaceutical Co. for many years.

Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 12, in Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln Street. There will be no calling hours. Burial will be private. Contributions in Carol's memory may be made to Sterling Animal Shelter, Laurelwood Road, Sterling, MA 01564.
