Obituary

Worcester - Carl O. Peterson, 91, of Pleasant Valley Drive, passed away peacefully at the Rose Monahan Hospice Home on Thursday, October 9, 2014. His wife of 50 years, Maxine M. (Allen) Peterson, passed away in 2007, and he was also predeceased by a sister, Charlotte. Mr. Peterson was born in Worcester, son of the late Carl G. and Anna V. (Bergstrom) Peterson and was a graduate of Commerce High School. He was a truck driver for the Hillcrest Dairy (28 years) and Meola Dairy (14 years). He was a member of Teamsters Local 170, enjoyed fishing, and was an avid Red Sox and Patriots fan. He was loved by many and will be missed by his many dear friends.

A graveside service was held Friday, October 10, 2014, at All Faiths Cemetery. Pastor James A. Fontaine presided. Memorial donations may be made to Burncoat Baptist Church, 475 Burncoat St., Worcester MA 01606. Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln Street, Worcester directed arrangements.
