Marlboro—Beverly A. (Peterson) Provencher, 74, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, April 20, 2004, thanks to the excellent care of UMass Hospice after many years with rheumatoid arthritis and rare, long-term carcinoid syndrome cancer.
She leaves her husband of 53 years, William C. Provencher, Sr.; two sons and daughters-in-law, William C. and Alison Provencher, Jr. of Northboro and Gary P. and Sarah Provencher of Townsend; a daughter and son-in-law, Lynn Ann and Chris Jones of Marlboro; a brother, Paul J. Peterson, Jr., of Savannah, GA; 5 grandchildren, Kristin Provencher, Lindsay Provencher, Jamie Provencher, Tiffany Provencher, and Gary Provencher, Jr.
She was born in Worcester, daughter of Paul J. and Ethel J. (Bergquist) Peterson, Sr. Mrs. Provencher worked at Rice Barton Corp., and most recently, The Learning Center in Marlboro. She was a member of the First Church of Marlboro.
Funeral Services will be held Friday, April 23, at 11 a.m. in Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln St., Worcester. Burial will be in Grove Cemetery, Holden. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to UMass Memorial Hospice, 650 Lincoln St., Worcester, MA 01605 or to The First Church of Marlboro, 37 High Street, Marlboro, MA 01752 or to an animal shelter of the donor's choice.
