Obituary

East Harwich - Betty L. (Nelson) Loomis, 80, died Monday, June 7, 2010 at the Cape Cod Hospital in Hyannis. Her husband of 46 years, Richard A. Loomis, died in 2001. She leaves three sons, Kent, David, and Paul Loomis; and five grandchildren, Stephanie Pappas, Melissa, Brandon, Jennifer, and Katherine Loomis. She was born in Worcester, daughter of Walter F. and Elsie J. (Forsberg) Nelson. She graduated from Clark University. Betty was a very active member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church in East Harwich.

A memorial service will be held at St. Peter's Lutheran Church on Friday, June 11, at 11:00 a.m. Please omit flowers. Donations may be made to St. Peter's Lutheran Church, 310 Route 137, East Harwich, MA 02645. Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln Street, Worcester is assisting the family with arrangements.
