Obituary

Worcester: Beth Wangui Irungu, 57, passed away on November 6, 2024 in Beaumont Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Center in Westborough following an illness. She leaves her children Paul, Faith and Gloria and many close friends.

Beth was born in Nairobi, Kenya, daughter of Paul M. Ruihi and Phyllis Wangechi. She came to the United States and earned a degree at The Salter School in Worcester. She worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant for Oriol Healthcare at the Holden Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for several years. She was a member of the Hosanna Gospel Center in Auburn and was known as a "social butterfly" who enjoyed hosting gatherings, decorating, singing, dancing, and cooking. She also enjoyed taking photos.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, November 13, 2024 from 4-8 p.m. in Nordgren Memorial Chapel 300 Lincoln Street Worcester, MA 01605. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 14, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will follow in St. John's Cemetery.
