Obituary

Worcester: Bernice J. (Dumas) Larose, 99, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 15, 2017 in Notre Dame Long Term Care Center, several weeks shy of her one hundredth birthday. Her husband of 58 years, Irving C. Larose predeceased her. She leaves a son Louis Larose and his wife Mary Larose. A daughter Katherine and her husband Steven Richardson of Holden; four grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Bernice was born in Worcester, daughter of the late Alfred and Agnes (Lanciault) Dumas. She attended Worcester public Schools and dedicated her life to raising her family. She was a founder and active member of the former Our Lady of Fatima Church. She enjoyed cooking and sewing and volunteered at the Central Kitchen in Worcester.

A calling hour will be held on Thursday, October 19, 2017 from 10-11 a.m. in Nordgren Funeral Home 300 Lincoln St. Worcester. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will follow in St. John's Cemetery, Worcester. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Bernice's memory to a charity of the donor's choice.
