Obituary

Worcester: Bernadette Angeline Liu, 82, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 17, 2022 in UMASS Memorial Medical Center University Campus surrounded by her loving family. She leaves her husband of 64 years Joseph Liu; 2 sons- Michael and Basil Liu; 4 daughters- Maria Liu, Christine Callender, Julie Russo, and Helena Lewis; 7 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; a brother- Christopher Emmanuel; 2 sisters- Margaret and Mary; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by siblings John, Peter, Edward, Patrick, Mickey, Dorothy, and Cecilia.

Angie was born in Burma, daughter of the late Basil and Marjorie (Rogers) Emmanuel. She loved being a care giver and spent most of her life caring for others. She was a member of Our Lady of Providence Parish and enjoyed cooking, gardening and spending time with her beloved family and pets. She was known to many as Angie or Grandma and she was a mother to everyone she touched.

A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, March 22, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. in Our Lady of Providence (St. Bernard's) 228 Lincoln St. Worcester. Burial will follow in Hope Cemetery.
