Obituary

Benita Garcia, 91, of Rutland, and formerly of Phoenix, LosAngeles, and Uruguay, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 8, 2025. She was a beloved friend, daughter, sister, wife, mother and Awesome Abuela.

She leaves her son Julio Garcia Jr and his wife Carol, her beautiful daughter Roxanne and her husband Chris Towns; as well as four grandchildren, Ricky Camejo, Christopher Towns Jr, Camden Towns, and Ariana Towns.

Benita was predeceased by her parents, brother, sisters, husband (Julio Garcia) of 45 years and first-born beautiful daughter Ana Maria.

Benita was born in Uruguay where she and Julio worked in the lapidary and jewelry business, which brought them to Los Angeles and Phoenix where they opened their own businesses.

She was a proud Abuela, who adored her family with all her heart and always had a bright smile. Those who knew her best will remember her funny antics and fashionista lifestyle.
