Obituary

Shrewsbury - Barbara A.(Lind) Sherman, 86, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family Friday, February 27, 2015, at the Rose Monahan Hospice Home. She was born in Worcester, daughter of the late Albin W. and Anna E. (Nordman) Lind. She is survived by 7 children, George (Maureen),Stephen (Patty), Ann Marie Gonyea (late Everett), Diane Kennedy (Joe), Robert (Jennifer), Audrey Strader (William), and Craig (Kathy); 12 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews, and predeceased by her husband William, daughter Cynthia and sister, Svea.

Barbara worked as an attendant at Worcester State Hospital. She was a member of the Shrewsbury Town Social Club and attended Liberty Church of Shrewsbury. She enjoyed playing cards and bingo with her friends, dining out, and socializing. She had a wonderful sense of humor and loved to laugh with her family.

A memorial service will be held at Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln Street, Worcester on Friday, March 6, 2015 at 1 pm. Burial will follow in Hope Cemetery. Donations may be made in Barbara's memory to a charity of the donor's choice.
