Obituary

Barbara J. (Christenson) Pisto, 82, passed away on Saturday, September 6, 2014 in the Beaumont Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Center. Her husband of over 30 years, Anthony G. Pisto predeceased her in 1992. She leaves a son Lawrence W. Pisto of Worcester.

Barbara was born in Worcester, daughter of the late Arthur and Axcelia (Brunmark) Christenson. She graduated from Classical High School and earned her Associates Degree from Becker College. She worked in New York for American Airlines before becoming a full time wife and mother. She was quite active at St. Andrews Episcopal Church in North Grafton, where she enjoyed volunteering for many years.

A graveside service and burial will be held on Tuesday, September 9, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. in All Faiths Cemetery 9 Island Rd. Worcester, MA 01603. There are no calling hours. Nordgren Memorial Chapel is directing arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association 480 Pleasant St. Watertown, MA 02472.
