Obituary

Worcester - Barbara A. (Bottcher) Erikson, 82, passed away Sunday, Feb. 19, 2017, under the loving care of the Jewish Healthcare Center. She was born in Worcester, daughter of the late William and Beatrice (Millwart) Bottcher and was a graduate of Commerce High. Barbara raised five sons and was a baker for Iandoli's. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church. Barbara had a great sense of humor - she loved to laugh and make people laugh. She also loved lounging in the sun and going to Foxwoods.

She leaves her husband of 63 years, Francis Erikson, Sr., three sons, Francis, Jr., of Lake City, FL; Gary of Seattle, WA; and Ronald of Williamsburg, VA; 10 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sons, Steven and Kenneth Erikson, and two brothers, Robert and William Bottcher.

Calling hours will be held at Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln Street, Wed., Feb. 22, from 5-7pm. The funeral service will be held at Nordgren's on Thursday, Feb. 23, at 12:00pm. Burial in Hope Cemetery will follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the MA Veterans Shelter, 69 Grove Street, Worcester MA 01609.
