Obituary

Barbara A. (Avery) Swift, 74, died Monday, August 21, 2006, at Memorial Hospital. She leaves her husband of 48 years, Kenneth B. Swift; her son, Allon K. Swift of Millbury; two daughters, Linda A. Swift of Shrewsbury and Pamela J. Green of Silverdale, Washington; 4 grandchildren, Nicole Miller, Adam Green, Kristen Green, and Benjamin Green. She was born in Worcester, daughter of Allon R. and Olive I. (Hughes) Avery. She was a switchboard for the former State Mutual Life Insurance Co. for 25 years. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, August 24, in Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln Street. There are no calling hours. Burial will be in Mountain View Cemetery, Shrewsbury.
