Obituary

Worcester: Aune T. (Johnson) Gillis, 95, passed away on Saturday, September 16, 2017 in UMASS Memorial Medical Center, University Campus. She leaves a son and daughter-in-law Bruce and Donna Gillis of Princeton; a granddaughter Jennifer Gillis-Smith of Princeton; a great-grandson Brady Joseph Gillis-Smith; a brother Wilhoo Johnson of TN; and a niece Lori Gates of NY. She was predeceased by her husband Shandon B. Gillis in 1982.

Aune was born in Worcester, daughter of the late Henry and Elfina (Kujala) Johnson. She graduated from Commerce High School in 1937. She was a member of the former Belmont Social Club and enjoyed reading and caring for her dogs.
